There is this spark inside of you, and so far you have an amazing following... but what do you do with it?

That's the big question that a lot of entrepreneurs have because you can have the heart and soul, but maybe you don't know what it means to build your courage and increasing your self-confidence in this business. It’s an important topic and something we can all benefit from. As we spend this month learning and thinking about courage and self-confidence let’s keep our eyes on working through the issues that keep us from living our best life.

The basic idea is simple. What I recommend is that for 30 days you really dig into what your brand is. I mean every day! Then I want you to decide what you want to provide, how much time do you want to put into your growth work, and maybe even what is the growth work. If you are like me, you're going to have a lot of passions. So how do you authentically create the brand of you?

What I have found is that most of my clients have spun their wheels while trying to get going because of fear and no plan. The fear comes in connecting with others, and even asking for the sale. Does the topic of money make your mouth dry and your hands sweat? Do you dread that point in a conversation when someone says, “So what do you charge?” That's the fear talking, and talking, and talking. In fact it's talking you right out of making your dreams come true.

You’re not alone. Most of us have difficulty talking about money—especially when it comes to quoting prices for our own work. It stems to our childhood and how we were taught about finances. Being successful in business means you have to get over it. So the first rule for declaring your prices with confidence is simply to practice. Talk to yourself in the shower. Tell your dog what your rates are. Stand in front of your mirror and say, “I charge $XXX.00 per hour.”  The more you say your rates out loud (not in your head) the more natural it will be for you. 

Second make it simple. If you want to sell customers your shake, use a done for you program that allows you to automate everything. So by everything I mean your intro emails or blog posts, even your social media. As well you need to automate your groups and event posts so that you spend time doing what's important to you, building relationships.

Rather than squeaking out a timid, “Um, I charge, like $1,000 per month,” straighten your back, smile, and say, “My rate for VIP coaching is $1,000 per month. Where should I send your invoice?” And then… Be still, listen and lay it on them with truth. Once you've gotten someone into your funnel, it's more than likely they'll stay. Stop selling like a schmuck. Don't fill the silence of your conversations and social media with just anything to avoid having to uncomfortably think of how you can connect, and wonder what the other person is thinking.

People looking for answers are just as uncomfortable with the silence, and psychologically, the one who speaks first is at a disadvantage. So when you can invite someone into something "non-sales" it will make it more likely you can talk to them about the sale when the timing is right for you.

Does that mean they'll always buy your services? No. But being able to share your passion without being a that sales person with potential clients will give you the confidence in your skills, and consequently, make you the coach you want to be.

The secret is that your product doesn't need to be created from scratch. All of that work is where 
so many coaches get stuck and that's why, year-after-year, you still haven't released a product that can help you make money all day long. Get rid of the belief that in order to charge hundreds of dollars for a product, you're going to have to work really, really hard to create it. Watch your friends spend all day and night working on a program they are going to sell for $19 and get busy on what really makes your long term income. Funnel people into what you are passionate about and make the relationships matter. 

Product creation can be quick + easy + profitable all without sacrificing quality if you know who you're working with. 

Because that's what it's really about, right? You want to make sure that your clients are happy with your work, and that's why you feel like you have to create your products from scratch, all by yourself.

Unfortunately, that approach just leads you down the path of never getting a product completed and up for sale.
