Systematize Everything Or Go For It Old School

Systematize Everything If You Want To Be Successful Long Term

Here’s an all-too-common scenario: A seemingly successful business coach or network marketers is hard at work growing her business. She’s working lots of hours, and people love her, yet her cash flow is dismal.
Why?
Because she’s working so hard that finding the time to actually take control of her money is impossible. She isn't working in the follow up, she is working in this space where everything becomes about new, next, never. Systems is what makes life simple. Without them you'll find yourself lost, and chaotic in business. Did you know you can order anything online, or order to pick up products locally? Did you know that you can pick up a phone and call your customers in your pajamas? This is a new dynamic world, but you are struggling because you are stuck in the race to gather instead of finding ways to make it easier.
Do you struggle with getting your invoices sent on time. Are you taxes getting done April 14th? What about the dozens of recurring payments or orders that go out automatically each and every month, but you have no idea if people are using the products, or will continue to order.
Sound familiar? Sadly, that’s exactly what a lot of “successful” businesses look like. When you work at home, and you’re accountable to no one but yourself, it’s far too easy to let these little things slide until, like an avalanche, they have a devastating effect on your business.
The good news is, cleaning it up is easy, when you take the time to put some trusted systems in place.
Start with your billing. Sign up for (and use) a system where you can automate your timekeeping and produce an invoice with a single click of a button, or put billing days or follow up days on your calendar as an unbreakable appointment with yourself and your clients.
Log into your timekeeping app, generate your invoices, and click send. You’ll be done in a jiffy. I personally use Square Market but they don't have that timekeeping option, so it does add an extra step for me, but it is what I feel connected to. I like that my direct sales sends out automated emails to my clients, but also to me to remind me to do my part of the job in the follow up. If your company doesn't offer that, or if you are service oriented, create your own follow ups. Including nudges to yourself to make sure you remember to stay connected and engage your tribe.

Just putting these two simple systems in place can easily save you 10+ hours per month, but the even larger benefit is that the money work will get done. And what that will do for your cash flow is priceless.
